Footsteps of Compassion

In Van Gogh’s art and letters, Henri Nouwen discovered a passion and vocation similar to his own. Join us along his path of discovery with Carol Berry, artist, teacher and Van Gogh and Nouwen scholar.

Carol Berry met Henri Nouwen at Yale University where she attended Henri’s only class on the Compassion of Vincent van Gogh. In pursuing her writing on Van Gogh and Nouwen, she "followed in the footsteps" of Van Gogh this summer, from his beginnings in South Holland to his years in France.
